Bixi is a new transportation innovation program in Montreal. Montreal is the first North American city to host this program. It seems like a bike rental. You’re going to one of the bike stations, and then borrowing one of the bikes. All a user needs is a credit card to pay the fee. For every trip, the first 30 minutes are free.
When the user arrived at their destination which is the another bike station, they must returns it back at there. No less than 300 station and 3,000 bikes are planned for. Strategically located and concentrated near Montréal’s nerve centres, the stations are separated by only 300 metres on average. And the network will continue to expand gradually beyond the current service area.
This program really aware about global warming, and this is pretty cool, you can reduce the global warming causes, and you get your healthy body!
